Jammu and Kashmir: Six terrorists killed during encounter with security forces in Anantnag

Srinagar, Nov 23 (IBNS): At least six terrorists were killed during an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district on Friday, the police said.

Police identified the six terrorists as Azad Malik, Unais Shafi, Shahid Bashir, Basit Ishtiyaq, Aqib Najar and Firdous Najar.

Arms and ammunition were recovered from the spot of the encounter, police said.

"#Bijbehara Update # 06 terrorists killed in an encounter at TMS Bijbehara. Arms and ammunition recovered. Identities are being ascertained. @JmuKmrPolice," Anantnag Police tweeted.

In a separate tweet, the police said: "#Bijbehara encounter update #06 militants killed identified as: Azad malik, Unais Shafi, Shahid Bashir, Basit ishtiyaq, Aqib Najar and Firdous Najar #Kashmir# @JmuKmrPolice @KashmirPolice."
