Srinagar/UNI: Security forces on Sunday launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in south Kashmir district of Shopian.

Official sources said that following specific information about presence of militants, a joint CASO was launched by police, Army and CRPF at Badigam in Shopian on Sunday evening.

They said security forces have sealed all the exit point and were conducted house-to-house searches in the area.

“Searchers were also being conducted in nearby fields,” they said.

They said so far no contact was established with militants.
