Jammu and Kashmir: Police's SOG team nabs suspect for ‘spying’ near vital locations

Jammu/UNI: The Special Operation Group of Jammu Police have detained one suspected person "spying" near vital installations in Gandhi Nagar area here, Police sources on Monday.

Late last night one person was taken into custody by the sleuths of SOG in Gandhi Nagar locality, the sources said.

"He is suspected to be a close aide of terrorists and was allegedly videographing the strategic and vital locations," they said, adding that he was also in touch with his handlers across the border through social media platforms.

As per initial reports, the suspect hailed from Rampur area of Uttar Pradesh while investigation into the case is in progress.
