Jammu and Kashmir: Police organise drug de-addiction camp at Police Station

Srinagar: In its efforts to bring Police Drug De-addiction services closer to community, Police under the supervision of SP West Al-Tahir Geelani organised a drug de-addiction camp at Police Station Parimpora.

 The camp was organised in collaboration with Youth Development and Rehabilitation Centre Wanganpora Eidgah.

On the occasion, a team of doctors and pharmacists were present and more than 30 substance abusers were screened, accessed and treated by the team, police said in a statement.

“Community members especially family members of the victims of drug abuse appreciated this initiative and requested to continue such efforts. All the substances abusers were given free medication and were advised to report at youth rehabilitation centre for further follow ups and treatments,” the statement added.
