Jammu and Kashmir: CRPF jawan injured in grenade attack in Pulwama

Srinagar, Mar 30 (UNI) A jawan of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was injured in a hand grenade attack by militants in south Kashmir district of Pulwama Saturday afternoon, official source said.

They said militants hurled a hand grenade towards a CRPF bunker at State Bank of India (SBI) at main chowk Pulwama. A jawan was injured in the attack, they said adding security forces have launched a search operation to nab the attackers.

People in the area ran for safety after the blast, sound of which was heard in the entire town.

No militant outfit has so far claimed responsibility of the attack.
