Jamaat-e-Islami activists detained in Dhaka
Dhaka, Aug 19 (IBNS): Police on Friday detained 18 Jamaat-e-Islami activists from Bangladesh capital Dhaka, media reports said.
“They were detained while holding a clandestine meeting at house no. 8 in Merul Badda,” Abdul Jalil, officer-in-charge of Badda Police Station, told The Daily Star news paper.
Bangladesh has witnessed massive terrorist attack in recent times when militants attacked a cafe at Gulshan area in Dhaka and killed at least 20 people.
