Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu, wife Sara visit Taj Mahal

Agra, Jan 16 (IBNS): On his third day of visit to India, Israel PM Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday visited the Taj Mahal in Agra.

The Israeli leader's wife Sara joined him to visit the monument of love in Uttar Pradesh.

The couple were welcomed to the state by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The Mughal monument remained closed for over two hours for tourists due to Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to the gorgeous creation.

Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara also clicked a photo by sitting infront of the Mughal masterpiece to make the moment a special one.

The PM also shared a small video of his trip to the Taj Mahal on Twitter.

He will return to New Delhi in the evening to inaugurate the the 3rd annual Raisina Dialogue.

In a tweet posted on the official handle of the Israeli PM, Benjamin Netanyahu was quoted as saying: "This is a moment of relaxation on a very intensive visit. I would like to thank Indian PM Modi for allowing us this moment as well. In India we met much love, love for Israel, and here we are in the temple of love."

The Israeli PM arrived in India on Sunday.

He is on a six-day visit to the Asian nation.
