New Delhi, Oct 18 (UNI) Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Friday filed a chargesheet before a Delhi court against former finance minister and senior Congress leader, P Chidambaram, for his alleged involvement in the INX Media corruption case.

The investigating agency in its chargesheet named P Chidambaram and 13 other accused, including his son, Karti Chidambaram, Peter Mukerjea and Indrani Mukerjea.

Chidambaram has been accused of taking bribes for FIPB (Foreign Investment Promotion Board) clearance in connection with the media case.

It named Chartered Accountant S Bhaskaran, former NITI Aayog CEO S Khullar and many others.

At present, Chaidmabaram is lodged in Tihar jail in the INX media case. His petition seeking bail is reserved before the Apex Court Friday.
