Injured cop dies in Kashmir
Srinagar, Oct 20 (IBNS): A policeman, who was injured in a stone pelting incident in Srinagar in July this year, has succumbed to his injuries in a hospital here.
According to official spokesperson, Constable Waseem Ahmad Bhat was injured in a stone pelting incident at Duck Park, Fore Shore Road Nigeen Hazratbal on July 29.
The incident happened when a police party was pelted upon at the place after receiving a report of anti social activity going on at the said spot.
He succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Soura Srinagar, police
spokesperson said on Monday.
A wreath laying ceremony was held at DPL Srinagar. A guard of honour was presented and floral wreaths were laid at the body of the martyred cop.
