The Indian community in France organised a Tiranga Rally in Paris to observe the success of Operation Sindoor launched by the Indian Armed Forces against terror hubs located in Pakistan and PoK earlier this month.

A large number of Indian community members had assembled to pay their gratitude to the Indian Armed Forces.

Kavita Singh, one of the participants, told ANI: "We have gathered here to thank India, the government, and the administration. Most importantly, we want to thank our armed Forces. We are very proud of our forces. This event is to thank our forces."

The participants also thanked Indian PM Narendra Modi for his firm leadership and commitment to national security.

Joginder Kumar, member of the Indian diaspora and the President of the Franco-Indian Association, told ANI, "We have gathered here to pay our tributes to the martyrs and celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor. We have taught a lesson to Pakistan and we hope they will not dare to do something like this again."

Operation Sindoor

Operation Sindoor was a fierce military operation launched by the Indian Air Force (IAF) on May 7 in response to the Pahalgam attack that killed 26 tourists who were enjoying their vacation at Baisaran Valley, which is referred to as India's Switzerland.

The operation was aimed at dismantling terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

After the Pakistan Army again targeted Indian civilians and resorted to cross-border firing, the Indian Armed Forces retaliated, destroying defence systems of the hostile neighbour. On May 10, both countries agreed to a ceasefire agreement after four days of escalation.
