India Rankings 2017: Jadavpur University comes ninth among engineering colleges

New Delhi, Apr 3 (IBNS): Jadavpur University of West Bengal came ninth among engineering colleges in a list of India Rankings 2017, an assessment made by Union Human Resource Development which was released by Minister of the department, Prakash Javdekar, on Monday.

In an overall list of colleges, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, came first while IIT Kharagpur came 4th a step ahead of much controversial Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi.

Speaking about the rankings, Javdekar said that this step is a sequel of our Government's commitment towards landmark changes in the quality of education provided to students across the country for which we are working relentlessly."
