India has already proved it can kill its enemies across its borders when needed: Rajnath Singh

Lucknow, Jan 21 (IBNS): Giving a strong message to Pakistan, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday said if needed India could attack its enemies even on the foreign soils.

"A few months ago, Pakistan, in an act of cowardice, had attacked and martyred 17 of our jawans. Prime Minister Narendra Modi consulted all of us on this serious issue. The Indian Army then entered the Pakistani area and killed the terrorists," Singh said here.

"We have given a strong message to the world that if needed we can even attack our enemies not only on our soil, but also in their territory," he said.

Singh made the remarks at a  public meeting in Lucknow.

Singh made the remarks amid heightened tensions along the India-Pakistan border following repeated ceasefire violations by Pakistan.
