India continues to witness spike, 7,240 fresh COVID-19 cases recorded in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India recorded yet another day of spike as  7,240 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the past 24 hours, as per data released by the Ministry of Health on Thursday.

The daily positivity rate of the country has now touched 2.13 percent.

Eight people have died due to the viral infection so far.

India's active caseload currently stands at 32,498.

Active cases stand at 0.08 percent.

Recovery Rate currently at 98.71 percent.

3,591 people have recovered from the disease so far.
