I dream to make India a 20 trillion dollar economy: Modi

California, Sept 27 (IBNS): Addressing at the Townhall session with CEO Mark Zuckerberg at Facebook Headquarters, Indian PM Narendra Modi on Sunday said he dreams to make India a 20 trillion dollar economy.

He said it is agreed today that India is the fastest growing economy.

"Today, India is an 8 trillion dollar economy and I dream to make India a 20 trillion dollar economy," Modi said.

He said social media is playing a huge role in governance.

"We are bringing technology into governance in a very big way," Modi said.

Speaking on the issue of diplomacy, Modi said,"You asked me about diplomacy. Earlier it was capitals connecting, like Delhi and Washington, or Delhi Tokyo. Now people are connected...China has a different social media structure but still I am active there also and I communicate with the people of China."

Modi said: "When I joined social media I never imagined I will be PM...it was about my curiosity towards technology."

Inviting investments in India, Modi said: "I don't think there is a shortage of money in the world. Countries may not know where to put their money so I am calling them to India."

Saying that he is excited about India and impressed the way Modi used social media , Mark Zuckerberg said, "I am personally impressed by example PM Narendra Modi has set in using social media to directly communicate with citizens."
