Howrah: Fire breaks out at Berger Paints factory in Shalimar, 18 people hurt

Kolkata: As many as 18 people were injured when a fire broke out at a Berger Paints factory in Shalimar area of Howrah in West Bengal on Wednesday.

The fire started at around 2.15 pm.

Nine fire engines reached the spot to put out the blaze.

Fifteen injured people were rushed to Kolkata's CMRI Hospital for treatment.

"Two of them were referred to SSKM Hospital while the other 13 people are undergoing treatment here," a source in CMRI told IBNS.

The exact cause of the fire is still not known.
