'His every word is important for us': Narottam Mishra reacts to PM Modi's message on 'Pathaan'

New Delhi/IBNS: Madhya Pradesh Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Narottam Mishra, who is one of the biggest critics of Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Pathaan', Wednesday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's message, warning against making "unnecessary comments on irrelevant subjects like movies", has been received loud and clear.

This comes after PM Modi has asked the BJP workers to refrain from making "unnecessary comments on films or personalities" in the backdrop of the controversy over Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming film Pathaan.

Speaking at the BJP's national executive meeting, Modi on Tuesday said as quoted by several media, "No one should make unnecessary comments that would overshadow the hard work we do."

Asked about reports that the Prime Minister had apparently remarked that a minister keeps commenting on films, Mishra said no name was taken.

"His every word and every sentence is important for us. That's why all the workers have brought inspiration from there. Our conduct and behavior have been filled with their guidance and energy, and will continue to be filled," Mishra told reporters.

Modi's comment comes after several BJP leaders had objected to the saffron-coloured bikini worn by Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone in the Besharam Rang song from Pathaan.

Mishra and BJP leader Sadhvi Pragya have also given calls for a boycott of the big-budget Hindi film.

Earlier, the BJP leaders had called for boycott of Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha citing the actor's year-old remark on "growing intolerance" in India.
