Himanta Biswa Sarma elected as BAI President

New Delhi, Apr 23 (IBNS): President of the Assam Badminton Association Himanta Biswa Sarma has been elected as the new interim head of the Badminton Association of India.

"Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and IAS Devendra Singh were unanimously elected as the new President and Sr. Vice President respectively," BAI Media tweeted.

Sarma said he is humbled at being elected to the post.

"Humbled at being elected as President of Badminton Association of India @BAI_Media. My sincere thanks to all. Shall do the best I can," Sarma tweeted.
