Himachal Pradesh to vote to elect a new Assembly on Nov 12

New Delhi: Himachal Pradesh will vote to elect a new Assembly on  Nov 12, the Election Commission of India announced on Friday.

The counting of votes will take place on Dec 8.

Polling will take place in one-phase.

Himachal Pradesh Assembly has 68 seats.

The state is currently run by the Bharatiya Janata Party.

In Himachal, the BJP had won 43 out of 68 seats, comfortably ahead of Congress' 22, in the 2017 state polls.
