Manali, June 11 (IBNS) Rescuers on Wednesday recovered a sixth body, days after at least 24 students from the Hyderabad city of Andhra Pradesh were washed away in Beas river close to Himachal Pradesh's Mandi city on Sunday.

So far bodies of only six of the 24 students have been recovered. As many as 18 students and one tour guide are still missing.

Search operations continued on Wednesday though rescue officials said there are almost no chance of finding any more bodies.

The Himachal Pradesh Police on Wednesday said a First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against Larji Dam officials after at least 24 students were washed away following alleged sudden discharge of water from the dam on Sunday.
