Washington, July 29 (IBNS): Giving momentum to the US Presidential election, Hillary Clinton on Thursday accepted the Democratic Party's nomination for the president.

"I accept your nomination for president of the United States," she said.

She said :"We’ve reached a milestone...the first time that a major party has nominated a woman for president."

She said her primary mission will be to create more opportunity and more good jobs.

"My primary mission as president will be to create more opportunity and more good jobs with rising wages right here in the United States," Clinton said while addressing the gathering.

Attacking her opponent Donald J. Trump, Clinton said he is only making 'empty promoses'.

"Enough with the bigotry and bombast. Donald Trump's not offering real change, he’s offering empty promises," she said.
