GVK MIAL wins ICI Dr Ramakrishna Award 2016 for Best Project with Pre-cast Concrete in India
The award was received by Associate Vice President, Project Construction Subodh Kumar, and Executive Secretary (Technical) Ramalingeswara Rao, who represented MIAL at the ceremony.
Pre-cast concrete is not only economically viable, as it requires a relatively shorter period for construction, but also makes use of an environment-friendly manufacturing process, which is in keeping with MIAL’s green initiatives.
The Mumbai International Airport strives to stay at the forefront of new developments in the industry, and prides itself for the successful implementation of the latest techniques and methodologies.
Previously, GVK CSIA T2 has won the ICI Award for Outstanding Concrete Structure for the year 2014, and has also been honoured for its state-of-the-art ATC Tower in 2013.
