Guwahati Municipal Corporation polls to be held on April 19

Guwahati: The Assam State Election Commission on Wednesday announced the poll date of Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) election.

Election to 60 wards of GMC will be held on Apr 19 and counting of votes to be held on Apr 21.

The Assam State Election Commission has decided to use EVMs in the election in 789 polling stations.

According to the Assam State Election Commission, nearly 8 lakh voters will exercise their franchise.
