New Delhi, Jul 25 (IBNS): Chief Minister of Gujarat, Vijay Rupani called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Parliament House on Tuesday, and apprised him of the situation arising out of incessant rain and flood in parts of the state.

Several states in India are in the grip of floods resulting from the incessant rainfall over the past few days and the rivers in spate.

According to media reports, while the situation in Assam and the north eastern part of the company is improving gradually, states such as Gujarat and Rajasthan have been forced to declare high alerts. In West Bengal, lowlands in Birbhum, Purulia, West Medinipore and Hooghly districts are also in the grip of floods.
