Govt. amenity provided ex-CMs of Assam
Guwahati, Mar 1 (IBNS) : The Governor of Assam by a notification on Feb 29 has declared that the Ex-Chief Ministers of Assam, who have completed minimum continuous tenure of one year as Chief Minister, shall be provided with rent free furnished accommodation of the status of a Cabinet Minister, one private secretary, one assistant, one driver, four PSOs, House Guard Party(1+4) at maximum of two locations which can be augmented as per threat perception of Ex-Chief Minister, two peons and telephone at the state headquarters.
However, in case, any Ex-Chief Minister of Assam is already availing such facilities at the State headquarters in view of any office that he may holding, then such an individual may choose to avail one out of the two sets of facilities.
