Goa: Tantrik held for raping minor
Panaji: A 50-year-old Tantrik (occultist) has been arrested in Goa for allegedly raping a 14-year-old girl on the pretext of fulfilling her wishes, police said on Wednesday.
According to the police, Ramakant Naik, alias Baba (50), was arrested from Cansa, Thivim in North Goa district on Tuesday night.
Colvale Police has also arrested the mother of the victim for allegedly conniving with the accused.
An offence under section 376 of IPC, Section 4 of POCSO Act and Section 8 (2) of Goa Children's Act was registered.
Further investigation was underway, the police added.
