Global community has to come together to counter terrorism: Kiren Rijiju

New Delhi, Mar 22 (IBNS): Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju has said that terrorism should be treated as a challenge to human kind and the Global Community will have to come together to counter terrorism .
Speaking at the Valediction session of the three day International Conference on Counter Terrorism 2015 held at Jaipur on Saturday, Rijiju said that terrorism is now not the problem of any one country, instead it has spread to different parts of the world. 
 
Expressing concern on the present security scenario, Rijiju said that the challenges of countering terrorism are increasing day by day and we have to be ready always to control the situation. 
 
"For this, the police forces and other stakeholders need to be trained to counter terrorism," he added. 
 
The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs said that the response to terror activities would range from high tech to simple. 
 
He said that the war of terrorism has to be fought by the society. Giving the example of how terror groups like ISIS trying hard to capture the young minds, he said that the parents and the Indian society have been able to prevent young people from joining such groups. 
 
On the deliberations of International Conference, Kiren Rijiju said that it will benefit the functioning of the Ministry in counter terrorism. 
 
He said that the country needed a professionally managed counter terrorism school. 
 
He invited the think tanks and the other stakeholders to collaborate to counter terrorism.
