Ganja seized in Hyderabad, three held

Hyderabad, Mar 26 (UNI) The city police have arrested three persons and seized 40 kgs of Ganja from their possession.

On credible information, Central Task Force team along with Narayanaguda police apprehended Kovvuri Srinivas Reddy (37) of East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, Gouri Shetty Jagadish (50) of Nalgonda, Gamparai Mohan (36) of Gullelru, Visakhapatnam mandal and Viswanadham Vallangi of Paderu, Visakahapatnam (absconding) at Narayanguda fly over bridge on Monday evening when they were waiving for known customer Kishore, police said.

The accused procured the Ganja at Rajahmundry for Rs 6000 per kg and tried to sell the same here at Rs 9000 per kg, police intervened and arrested them.

The accused persons along with the seized materials including 40 kgs of ganja and five cell phones were handed over to Narayaguda Police, Hyderabad for further investigation, police added.
