Gandhis won't step down in CWC meet tomorrow: Congress

| @indiablooms | Mar 13, 2022, at 02:22 am

Ahead of the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting to be held tomorrow following party's poor show in the Assembly polls recently held in five sates, the party has categorically rejected speculations that the Gandhis - Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra - are going to resign at its top decision-making body, media reports said.

"The news story of alleged resignations being  based on unnamed sources is completely unfair and incorrect," Congress spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said today evening, reported NDTV.

The CWC meeting will be held at 4 pm tomorrow, three days after poll results were declared.

Following a complete wipe out in all the five states, the Gandhis are facing criticism once again, given impetus to calls for a complete overhaul and a leadership change by number of party leaders.
