Patna, Sept 7 (The Bihar Post/IBNS) : A local court in Bihar has filed a fresh charge-sheet against jailed Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) lawmaker Raj Ballabh Yadav in connection with a rape case.

Yadav whose RJD is a coalition partner in the ruling Nitish Kumar government in Bihar is accused of raping a minor girl. RJD is headed by mighty politician Lalu Prasad.

The court also filed charge-sheet against five other accused in the case, who included four women.

The police had to file a fresh charge-sheet against the lawmaker  after the first one was cancelled by the Patna High Court on technical ground in July this year.

The charge-sheet was filed in the Biharsharif court on Tuesday.

Raj Ballabh is cooling his heels in the jail for the past six month after a rape case was registered against him in February this year by a teenaged girl who appeared for matriculation examination.

The rape victim has passed the exam with first division.
