Four coaches of Mumbai local train derail, five injured

Mumbai, Aug 25 (IBNS) : Five persons were injured when four front coaches of a suburban train on Harbour line derailed near Mahim station on Friday morning, reports said.

.The train, plying between Andheri-Chhatrapati Shivaji terminus, derailed around 9.55 am.

The train movement in the Wadala-Andheri section has been disrupted following  the derailment.

The incident comes two days after Delhi-bound Kaifiyat Express derailed, injuring over 80 people.

On August 19, 14 coaches of Utkal Express derailed killing 24 and injuring over 156 people. Both the incidents took place in Uttar Pradesh.

The UP accidents resulted in the resignation of Railway Board Chairman AK Mittal and removal of a host of railway officials from their psots.
