Flights, train services delayed owing to thick fog in Delhi

New Delhi, Dec 22 (IBNS): At least 36 flights have been delayed and three have been cancelled due to heavy fog in Delhi on Monday, media reports said.

As many as 50 trains have been delayed while 12 others have also been rescheduled.

The National capital recorded a maximum temperature of 15 degrees Celsius on Sunday, seven degrees below the normal and lowest so far this winter.

According to forecast by the meteorological department, intense cold conditions are likely to prevail across the entire northern region.

Srinagar recorded a low of -1.8 degrees Celsius on Sunday compared to the previous night’s -4.4 degrees.

Extreme cold conditions and a thick blanket of fog continued to disrupt normal life in Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana also on Sunday.
