Five killed, at least 25 feared trapped in Kanpur building collapse

Kanpur, Feb 2 (IBNS) : Many people are still feared trapped inside the building that collapsed in Kanpur on Wednesday, killing five people, as rescue work is still going on involving the Army, NDRF and other agencies.

According to reports, a three-year-old girl has been rescued from under the piles of debris after 12 hours as search operation goes on with the help of gas cutters, earthmovers and other equipment.

According to reports, at least 25 to 30 people are trapped under the debris of the huge six-storey building  that was being constructed in Kanpur's Jajmau area.

The police have filed a case against local Samajwadi Party leader Mehtab Alam who reportedly owned the building.
