Fire breaks out in West Bengal hospital, no casualty

Kolkata/East Midnapore, Oct 31 (IBNS): A major fire broke out on Monday at a government owned hospital in West Bengal's East Midnapore district, reports said.

According to reports, the fire was first seen on the fifth floor of Egra Superspeciality Hospital and it spread quickly to another floor.

As many as two fire tender engines rushed to the spot and doused the blaze.

As the patients were evacuated quickly from the hospital building, no casualty was reported in the fire.

Meanwhile, during evacuation four persons received minor injuries, reports said.

According to fire officials, the fire might have started due to a short circuit.
