Kolkata/IBNS: Farmers' leader Rakesh Tikait, who is leading an massive protest against Centre's three new farm laws, will hold a Mahapanchayat in West Bengal's Nandigram, where Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee is contesting polls against BJP's Suvendu Adikari.

After Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee allegedly received injuries on her leg, head and chest while campaigning for the elections, Trinamool Congress and Bharatiya Jana Party has been involved in intense quarrel. While the TMC has accused BJP of attacking its leader, BJP has termed the entire incident as a drama to gain the sympathy of voters.

Before leaving for Nandigram, Tikait - a bitter critic of BJP-led NDA government over farm laws- met TMC leaders at Kolkata's Mayo Road, said an NDTV report.

tikait, who is national spokesperson of Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU), was received in Kolkata by TMC MP Dola Sen.
