Election Commission bans roadshows, vehicle rallies for remaining phases of Bengal polls

Kolkata/IBNS: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday evening banned all types of roadshows and cycle/bike/vehicle rallies for the remaining two phases of West Bengal polls amid a massive spike in Covid cases across the county including the eastern state. The order will be in effect from 7 PM on Thursday.

Voting for the sixth phase of the high-voltage West Bengal Assembly Election concluded on Thursday with an overall 79 per cent voters' turnout till 5 PM in four districts of the state.
