New Delhi, Jan 13 (IBNS): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal was on Tuesday attacked by an unidentified miscreant, who threw stones and eggs at him in a north west Delhi rally.

The incident occurred when Kejriwal was holding a public meeting at Jalebi Chowk in Sultanpur Majra Assembly constituency.

Last year, Kejriwal was slapped while he was campaigning for his party in Dakshinpuri area of South Delhi.

The attacker identified himself as Abdul Wahid and he had said he is a resident of Batla House area in Jamia Nagar.

Kejriwal was allegedly slapped and punched on back by Wahid while he was travelling in an open jeep during a roadshow.

According to reports, the attacker was immediately thrashed by AAP volunteers while Kejriwal was taken away to safety.

The AAP workers had then said he was paid Rs 25,000 for attacking Kejriwal.
