New Delhi/UNI: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Tuesday gave a name to India's evacuation process from Afghanistan, calling it ‘Operation Devi Shakti”.

“Op Devi Shakti continues.

“78 evacuees from Kabul arrive via Dushanbe,” he tweeted, referring to the 78 persons, including 25 Indians nationals and 46 Afghan Sikhs and Hindus, who were evacuated from Kabul by an Indian Air Force plane on Monday and flown to Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on transit. They were flown to New Delhi on Tuesday by an Air India flight.

“Salute @IAF_MCC, @AirIndiain and #TeamMEA for their untiring efforts,” he posted.

He ended the tweet with the hashtag #DeviShakti.

India has already evacuated hundreds of Afghan nationals from Afghanistan, which is invaded by the insurgent group Taliban.
