Delhi University student, missing for six days, found dead in Yamuna River

New Delhi/IBNS: A 19-year-old Delhi University student, who was missing for six days, has been found dead in the Yamuna River, media reports said.

Originally from Tripura, Sneha Debnath had taken a cab to North Delhi's Signature Bridge on July 7. Her movements and location were traced by police through technical surveillance.

Her body was found near a flyover in Geeta Colony. Her body has been identified by her family.

An autopsy report is yet to arrive.

A suicide note left by the student indicates at a suicide.

She was not upset with her studies but her distress was rooted to her family, police sources said as reported by NDTV.

Sneha's friends claimed she was distressed over the past few months.

The family was in search of the body over the last six days. A search operation was launched by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and police units.
