New Delhi, Oct 19 (IBNS): The Delhi High Court on Wednesday dismissed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's plea to stay trial court proceedings in a criminal defamation case filed against him.

Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had filed a defamation case against six AAP leaders including the party supremo.

The court directed that both civil and criminal cases can go together.

Jaitley last year had filed both civil and criminal defamation cases against Kejriwal and five other AAP leaders, seeking Rs 10 crore in damages for accusing him of corruption in Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) during his tenure as its chief.
