Death toll in Kerala flood touches 76, Rahul Gandhi in Wayanad

Thiruvananthapuram/Wayanad, Aug 12 (IBNS): Congress leader Rahul Gandhi parked himself in his Lok Sabha constituency Wayanad as several people have died in flood in Kerala.

The death toll has now touched 76. Over 2.27 lakh people have been sheltered in relief camps across the state, report said.

Visiting his Lok Sabha constituency, Rahul urged all his party workers to be at the forefront to help the people who are suffering due to the flood.

He tweeted, "I know it is a difficult time but I request you not to worry for your future. We're going to stand with, We're going to help you & we're going to make sure that you're able to rebuild your life."

The former Congress president has also appealed to all through his Facebook page to support the devastated people.

Rahul has won from Wayanad in the Lok Sabha Elections 2019.
