Cyclone Fani : Water logging in Guwahati following heavy rains

| @indiablooms | May 04, 2019, at 07:20 pm

Guwahati, May 4 (IBNS): In wake of the devastating cyclone Fani, heavy rainfall caused severe water logging in Assam’s capital city Guwahati on Saturday.

Heavy rainfall since Saturday morning has triggered flash floods in most of the areas in Guwahati including Kahilipara, Jorabat, Chandmari, GS road, RG Baruah road.

The streets of Guwahati were laden with mud, roads were turned into river with motorists struggling to cross the inundated area on the highway leading heavy traffic snarls.

Massive water logging in many parts of Guwahati paralysed normal life in the city.
