CRPF jawan killed in Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, May 17 (IBNS) A CRPF jawan was killed when Maoists ambushed a camp of the paramilitary force in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh early on Tuesday, reports said.
The Maoists launched a guerrilla attack on the camp in the Rangareddy forest and opened indiscriminate firing.
 
 Constable Satish Gaur, 28, who was guarding the camp, was grievously injured and later succumbed, reports said.
 
The Maoist firing continued few minutes after which they fled into the forests.
 
A search operation has been launched in the area.
