Court reserves order on ED plea against Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain

New Delhi/UNI: The Principal District and Sessions Court here Thursday reserved its order on the Enforcement Directorate's plea seeking transfer of the money laundering case against Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain from Special Judge Geetanjali Goel to another court.

Principal District and Sessions Judge Vinay Kumar Gupta heard arguments from both the prosecution and the defence.

The government counsel submitted that Jain may get hold of forged documents and influence doctors and jail officials.

Jain was accused of faking his illness to get admission in a hospital.

Counsel for Jain called the ED arguments malafide meant to derail the trial and prolong Jain's custody.

The counsel submitted that Jain is not a Minister and is in jail because the hospital where Jain was admitted is under the control of the Delhi government. Jain was arrested on May 30.
