Court orders filing of FIR against Mulayam for threatening IPS officer

| | Sep 16, 2015, at 10:11 pm
Lucknow, Sept 16 (IBNS) A Lucknow court has ordered an FIR to be filed against Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav for allegedly threatening IPS officer Amitabh Thakur, reports said.

Thakur had alleged that he and his wife received threats after she filed complaint against state Mining Minister Gayatri Prajapati. UP government had suspended Amitabh on July 13, 2015.

Reacting to the directive, Thakur said that it has given a boost to his morale of fighting against corruption. "It has restored my faith in system. Though court has ordered FIR against SP Chief but I know police and administration will not cooperate. Fight is yet to go on and I am prepared for that, " media reports quoted him as saying.

"I thank my wife and children to stand by me through thick and thin," Thakur said.
