Congress fields Shatrughan Sinha from Patna Sahib LS seat

New Delhi, Apr 6 (UNI) The Congress on Saturday fielded actor turned politician Shatrughan Sinha from the Patna Sahib Lok Sabha seat, from where he is the sitting MP of the BJP.

The name of Sinha, who joined the Congress earlier on Saturday in the presence of senior party leaders K C Venugopal, Shaktisinh Gohil and AICC media incharge Randeep Surjewala, figures in the list of five candidates for the Lok Sabha elections released by the Congress.

The list, which was cleared by the central election committee of the Congress and released by AICC general secretary Mukul Wasnik, included the names of candidate from Patna Sahib in Bihar, Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh and three Lok Sabha seats in Punjab—Khazoor Sahib, Fatehgarh Sahib-SC and Faridkot-SC.

The Congress has till now declared its candidates from 377 Lok Sabha seats.
Sinha joined the Congress earlier on Saturday in the presence of senior Congress leaders.

His entry in the Congress came after he was denied a ticket by the BJP for the Patna Sahib from where he is a sitting MP.
