Clerics missing in Pakistan safe, will reach Delhi tomo: Sushma Swaraj

New Delhi, Mar 19 (IBNS): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Sunday said that the two Indian Muslim clerics who went missing in Pakistan are safe and will return to Delhi on Monday.

In a series of tweet, Swaraj wrote: "I spoke to Mr. Sartaj Aziz Pakistan PM's Adviser on foreign affairs regarding missing Indian nationals Syed Asif Ali Nizami and Nazim Ali Nizami  of Hazrat #Nizamuddin Aulia Dargah. He assured me of all help in tracing the missing clerics."

Later she said she spoke Syed Nazim Ali Nizami, who informed the Minister that they are safe.

"I just spoke to Syed Nazim Ali Nizami in Karachi. He told me that they are safe and will be back in Delhi tomorrow. #Nizamuddin," Swaraj posted.

The two clerics had gone on a visit to Pakistan on March 8.

According to reports, the two were said to have gone missing over the week-end.
