Clash erupts between local groups in Kolkata, 2 hurt

Kolkata, Feb 7 (IBNS): At least two men were injured during a violent skirmish between two neighbourhood groups over a local issue at Talbagan area under Kasba Police Station limits in south Kolkata on Tuesday, local media reports said.

According to reports, agitating over the usage of a common bathroom and water-pump, people of two local groups engaged in a clash with each other.

The clash turned violent when people started pelting stones and hurling crude bombs aiming each other.

Locals claimed that few rounds of bullets were fired during the skirmish and one youth was stabbed on the road in broad daylight.

Later, a heavy police force rushed to the scene and brought the situation under control.

Till the last update came in, none has been arrested in connection with the incident.
