Kolkata, Dec 5 (IBNS): Union Minister for Civil Aviation P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju inaugurated a 15 MW solar power plant at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport, at Kolkata on Tuesday.

It is developed in an area of 67.5 acre within six plots, each generating a capacity of 2.5 MW and the power injection in grid is by 11 KV underground cable system.

The dignitaries present on the occasion included Member of Parliament Sougata Roy, Member (Operation) of Airports Authority of India  I N Murti and Regional Executive Director (Eastern Region)  of AAI K L Sharma.
