Chief Minister Siddaramaiah completes five years in office, expresses confidence about returning to power in Karnataka
Bangalore, May 13 (IBNS): Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah completed five years in his office on Sunday and said he is confident that the Congress will once again form the government in the southern state.
Voting for the Karnataka Assembly polls took place on Saturday.
The CM said party workers should not feel worried about the exit-poll results which have been predicting a tough competition between the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party.
"Exit opinion polls are entertainment for the next 2 days Relying on poll of polls is like a person who can’t swim crossing a river on foot relying on a statistician who told him the average depth of the river is 4 feet Please note average of 6+4+2 is 4. At 6 feet you drown! 1/2," Siddaramaiah tweeted.

Speaking on completing five years in office, he said: "I took charge as CM on 13th May 2013. Today I complete 5 years. As I look back on the 5 years I feel a deep sense of fulfilment. I do have a list of things we could do better; & a list of things that we need to do. I am looking forward to your love & support for doing more."

Karnataka is few of the states in India where the Congress is still ruling.
Both Prime MInister Narendra Modi and Congress chief Rahul Gandhi have been campaigning hard in the state for the past couple of days.
Karnataka polling is seen as a crucial test ahead of the Lok Sabha elections next year.
