Chhattisgarh: 11 die as truck, pickup vehicle collide in Arjuni

Balodabazar-Bhatapara/Chhattisgarh: Eleven people, including a couple of minors, died and approximately a dozen sustained injuries in a collision involving a truck and a pickup vehicle within this district’s Arjuni area during the intervening night, law-enforcement authorities confirmed on Friday.

Senior police officers rushed to the spot and conveyed the victims – all relatives returning from a family programme – to an infirmary. Several of those hurt were stated to be critical.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel expressed grief over the loss of life.
